New opportunities with SREMSC as of May 2018!
SREMSC is looking for qualified, motivated students in graduate or undergraduate programs to assist with an initiative for EMS provider recruitment and retention.
Specifically, the internship will involve preparing, disseminating, and gathering data to report from regarding the role of injury—physical or mental—in provider attrition. The intern(s) will be providing valuable information to be reported to the State of Alaska Department of Health and Social Services for the betterment and future of EMS in the State. This is an important topic nationwide, and successful surveys could well be publishable or at least newsworthy. This is an unpaid internship, with no compensation apart from credit for the work done and notation in all state, national, and government reporting. The intern assumes all costs associated with creating, publicizing, and reporting on the survey, and the intern assumes all liability. Southern Region will assist qualified interns with appropriate contacts and references for successful completion of their projects.
Interested candidates may apply by mail to JR Gardner, Executive Director of Southern Region EMS Council, Inc. Inquiries can be made by phone to (907) 562-6449.
